Users of Windows Vista are now able to collaborate on drawings produced by Autodesk Design Review without having to install any additional software.
The new 2009 version enables users to publish drawings in the DWFx format from any design application based on AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor. DWFx is the next generation of the DWF format which is more closely aligned with standards supported by Microsoft.
In terms of Design Review 2009, the new release enables users to examine 3D objects and models using Autodesk’s new navigation wheel and ViewCube technology. A new Integrated Search function also enables users to search models and drawings for text, drawing, Inventor object properties and other metadata.
Design Review offers extended design teams a solution for visualising and reviewing digital prototypes, communicating assembly instructions and bill of materials (BOM).
