The Autodesk User Group International Design Academy returns to London on September 25 for a two-daytraining and networking conference.

Following on from the success of last yearís inaugural event, this year's Design Academy, taking place at the Novotel London West, London, is back to help architects and engineers 'hone their competitive edge', discuss best practices and provide opportunities to learn from experts and others in their industry.

Paul Oakley, vice chairman of AUGI, views the event as an ideal way for companies to differentiate themselves from the competition in what could prove to be an uncertain economy. He, said: "Those working in architecture and the construction industry may well face a bumpier ride over the next year than they have had for a while.

"As an organisation, AUGI is dedicated to helping its members get the most from their design tools and drive their professional development. We believe that this programme of training combined with access to global experts - all within a rich networking environment - will provide both motivation and inspiration leading to increased creativity and innovation."

Lynne Allen, US CAD columnist and a worldwide Autodesk technical evangelist, has already been confirmed as one of the many CAD experts giving presentations.

Other highlights should include training sessions for built environment professionals, from advice on how to improve return on investment in AutoCAD Architecture to creating project templates with Revit Architecture, Revit Structure and Revit MEP.
